Is a single floppy Linux boot possible on a Macintosh?
If yes, has anyone looked at adapting Penguin Backup for the Mac by using Stuffit instead of Zip so that Mac users can enjoy the benefits of Penguin Backup?
Thanks,
Brian

I thought about PenguinBackup for the Mac, too, a while ago and asked my local Apple guru about it. However, the result was that a boot-floppy style system would not work with the Mac for some reason.
Maybe someone else with more Mac knowledge can elaborate on this?

From my understanding, the only linux distros on Macs (pre-os X macs) require the macs to boot up into the macos first.
The only mac linux distros I know about are too big to fit on a mac floppy.
That being said, there's probably still a way to do it (maybe newer OS X mac, usb flash key for storage, or booting...)
