I haven't done anything (i tried, but i need to read much more
code than i have time). I don't plan to rewrite peep server in 
perl, at least not alone. I'm rather busy in real life...
sorry about that.

I would love to see someone working on it...
(either fix the C client or rewrite it in something i can 
read/fix/extend (perl))
