Hi, I recently heard about Peep, and am trying to get it running on a Dell Latitude D800 running Fedora Core 4. The server runs, but when I do make test for the client, I don't hear the test sounds. I do see the "we found a channel" and other messages from the server process. 'peck' behaves similarly. The "play" command works with the peep sound files, and I am also able to hear other sounds from other applications. My sound card (onboard intel 8x0 chip) is at /dev/dsp and modules are loaded. The only thing I've noticed is the other program mentioned in the docs, bplay, is not installed, nor can I find it in any of the Fedora repositories. Is this needed? I'm using 0.5x from CVS. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you, Barry |
