Although it might be possible to hack something together, it would be so baroque that it would not probably be worthwhile, and you would be better off using some standard www software (or a service like surveymonkey, if that would work). PEBL does allow you to open ports and do simple TCP/IP communication, so a more reasonable solution might be that you have a local experiment script 'call up' a server script on another computer to send its results. This could work for collecting data from an entire class of students, but it could be tricky to get just right if you have multiple clients wanting access to the server simultaneously. If you let me know in greater detail what you want to accomplish, I might be able to give you some more guidance. Shane Mueller p.s. If you know Jeroen Raaijmakers or E.J. Wagenmakers, say hi from me--I am sort of academic cousins with both of them. > Is it possible to convert some of the pebl-tests to html-format, for > online experimenting and dataretrieval (as a form) by e-mail? > > Any experience on this subject? > > Jeroen Scheurwater > University of Amsterdam > Netherlands > > > > |
