I don't know if this may be specific to some interfaces (well, it has applied across every distro I've tried and both native builds and Flatpaks,) but right now PeaZip has really annoying tooltips. They pop up too easily over almost the entire interface (instead of having something clearly highlighted and after a longer period of time as is more standard) and they STAY! For example, when I'm trying to add files to an archive and select some, I have to move the mouse very carefully AROUND the outside of the entire interface because if a tooltip for a file in the browser comes up it stays up permanently on top of the add archive interface (so it's on top of a different interface.) It won't go away on its own once it's in the way there either. This can even block some buttons, depending on where a tooltip pops up. If I need to click on a button such as add, since the mouse is inside the interface I have to very carefully keep it constantly moving or a tooltip will pop up and become semi-permanent on top of the new interface. There should be more delay and they shouldn't be so sensitive as to give you file tooltips when the mouse is over a button instead of a file.

Besides fixing this on its own, I don't see any reason we shouldn't be able to just disable popups entirely anyway. I can't speak for everyone, but I don't really need them and they seem to always be in the way anyway, regardless of the other issue. Make them optional (on by default is fine) and people can choose if they even want them.

In PeaZip 10 it is now possible to disable tooltips in Options > Settings, general tab.

Can confirm that the option to turn off the tooltips is available and working now.

Actually, I think the stuck tooltips problem may have been specific to the version in the flatpak (probably not official?) Not sure if it's GTK or what. I switched to the non-flatpak QT version and they weren't stuck.

I'm still glad to see an option to disable tooltips though. I don't really need them. They just visually distract me. Thanks!
