By default, the columns in details view (small icons) are very narrow, so that the text is cropped (see screenshot). I am able to change column width by dragging the edges and PeaZip seems to remember the new sizes. However, when I click a column's head to sort the list according to that column's property, then the column sizes revert back to default.

Issue 1: Have PeaZip remember adjusted column widths.

I am using a high dpi screen. Right clicking peazip.exe and changing the high dpi setting in the compatibility tab to "System" makes PeaZip have default column widths that display text in full, so there is no need to resizing the columns. Now I wonder whether the narrow columns are actually a bug.
The above issue still persists, when I do decide to change column width. Using the "System" compatibility setting makes text in the app blurry, so I don't want to use it permanently.

Issue 2: It would be great to have default column widths, that don't crop text.

I'm using

  • Windows 10 21H2 19044.1586
  • Peazip 8.6.0 Win64 build
  • Display resolution of 3840 x 2160
  • Windows display scaling of 200 %

Issue fixed in 8.7.0 release, now default column widths are correctly remembered and are DPI aware.
