#159 Video issue - Puma (10.1)

I've been recommended to post this issue here by the
forums on pearpc.net.

I'm running WinXPProSP2, 1GB RAM, 60GB HDD, 64MB Video,
P4 3.06GHz.

I've tried using both the latest 'official' jitc
release and a daily build, both with the same result.
Both times trying to install OSX 10.1 (Puma).

What's happening is areas of the screen aren't drawing
and are staying black or transparent, making it
impossible to navigate the interface.

I have attached a JPG file showing the issue occuring.

What's strange is that I have successfully installed
PearPC and Puma on this very same computer without a
problem before. The only thing that has changed is the
version of PearPC.

I have exactly the same Problem since PearPC 0.3.0 - with
previous versions there is no problem. I tried installing with
Version 0.2 successfully and then updated to Version 0.3.0 -
configured to use the same hdd image. The System does
boot, but icons and "the dock" are not drawing.

I've just compiled and tested as requested: there isn't
any issue with video under MacOS X 10.1 Puma!!

So the problem is in src/cpu/cpu_jitc_x86/ppc_fpu.cc

Hi, just started to try PearPC and I have the same problem
posted here (my screen was exactly the same as the one in
"pearpc.jpg" image).
I tried to install MacOSX 10.1.2 (ISO image created with
Nero) on a downloaded 6GB hdisk image using both PearPC
0.3.1 and PearPC 0.4PRE on my WinXP-Pro SP2, 1GB RAM, ATI
Radeon9600 latest Catalyst DD (4.11).

Today I've compiled PearPC 0.4pre from CVS at 12:27AM
GMT+1 and MacOS X 10.1.0 (is yours 10.1.2?) worked
very well: there isn't any video issue. Did you compile it
by yourself? Is an up-to-date version?

p.s: all released versions, from 0.1 to 0.3.1, have the
video issue with MacOS X 10.1 (Puma). If you want to
use Puma you must use 0.4pre or if you want I can send
you the modified 0.3.1 executable with the fix applied
(see http://img17.exs.cx/img17/5207/img_000.png\).

Robert, I just downloaded already compiled versions (0.3.1
and 0.4Pre).
I think that it could be a good test if you send me your
PearPC "patched" versions (both 0.3.1 and 0.4Pre).

I had this exact problem with PearPC 0.3.1 when I tried to
install Mac OS X (10.1.2). Finally got a version of 0.4pre and
its working now.
