Is it possible to store the settings of the so called Win Sound Mixer somehow with Peace and restore it later? Or use another program, e.g. Peace, instead of the last dirt Sound Mixer?

That shitty Sound Mixer all the time changes the settings / volumes of the programs / system. So it would be could if one could store those settings and copy them back / restore them somehow or use another program to manage the sounds / volumes of the programs / trashy Windows.

    Hi Martin,

    How you're doing?

Peace hasn't got this ability and I'm not sure how to do this. How and when would one want to save and restore the settings (I guess you mean volume?). Windows has a volume per device and per app so switching to another device also means that the volume of the device is used. This is quite normal as the volume for your headphones or speakers could differ from, say, your monitor. But volumes of apps may be more the same. I'm guessing you want a fixed one for all apps?

    Hello Peter,

Well, I still try to survive (until now successfully). Hope, you are doing well!

How and when would one want to save and restore the settings (I guess you mean volume?).

Yes, all of the volumes (shown in that Sound Mixer). Yes, I do not have any idea of how many people might have this / such a problem (changing volumes all the time), any idea how common this issue might be. But it would be good to had the possiblitiy to save and restore such settings / volumes on another / new installation, etc. Like I do with that shitty power plan. And many other things.

Windows has a volume per device and per app so switching to another device also means that the volume of the device is used

Yes, and once adjusted / set the volume / those different volumes for different devices should keept staying unchanged for each single device / app.

This is quite normal as the volume for your headphones or speakers could differ from, say, your monitor.

Yes, but the volume for a special program and for a special device should keept staying the same (like one had set it). But it does not here.

I'm guessing you want a fixed one for all apps?

Once I have set a volume for a program, e.g. Firefox output on a special device I want that to be kept all the time (until I change it). But it is not kept. Since I have an external amplifier it is loud like hell when the volumes suddenly are changed (much higher) again. So I guess, I just want to use the volumes like they are usually used.

Yes, this changing of the volume can be pretty annoying. Have you googled the internet for a volume controlling app?

Good thinking. Unfortunately this time I can't provide you with a solution.
