Okay, I already found the culprit. And I've corrected it. It was a case of not having the Effects panel built internally. It's only built (internally) when opened the first time (after a configuration switch). This is to speed up the configuration switching process. Using the balance keys without going to the Effects panel after a configuration switch will crash Peace. Thus to avoid, open Effects panel after a configuration switch.

Ah great, the bug already detected. Very fast. Thank you very much! So, if I understand correctly, I could have used the balance directly in the effects panel without the error to be caused.
Yes yes, of course, many thanks for the beta. Works like before, no error anymore.
Many thanks!

It looks like a bug to me. Which Peace version are you using?

If you like you can download this beta version 1.5.6.0 which has the bug corrected.
I have the newest, 1.5.5.5.

Yes, you could have but how would you know that it doesn't give an error also? Anyway, glad to help.
Sorry, so I misunderstood your explanation. Glad it works. Many thanks again!
No problem. Thanks for reporting the bug.
