This is on the todo tist too...

Just waiting for a decision on the toolkit, as displaying
this information in the 3D view is not really easy.

Generally, i would like to limit the number of texts in the
3D views to the minimum, and show secondary informations
(legends, historical graphs) in a 2D widget.

This will come quickly in the new interface.
