I know PCManFM already supports ffmpegthumbnailer for showing video thumbnail previews but its made next to useless unless the user hacks the current code and builds their own PCManFM to work around the 32 MB file size limit that PCManFM imposes on thumbnails.
I would like to either increase this limit to multiple GB (~10/20GB) or have the option to disable the thumbnail filesize limitation completely. Very few of my video files are less than ~300 MB and so I don't get thumbnails for most video files under PCManFM.
Thanks

As matter of fact, that limitation acts only for images, never for any other file type. For example, I can see thumbnails for all my videos (10 MB to 40 GB in size). Could you provide some more info, please? Thank you.
Hi lonely stranger!
Seems you are right - this is what I get for trying stuff out at 4AM!
The actual issue I'm having is that PCManFM doesn't show thumbnails for movie files stored on MTP devices such as my Android phone. PCManFM does show thumbnails for images but Thunar (as well as Windows) shows thumbnails for both images and videos mounted via MTP.
Would you like me to create a new ticket for this?
