By clicking on PCManFM icon or pressing Start+E PCManFM doesn't start at all.

I've try to type in terminal:
pcmanfm %U (nothing happens)
pcmanfm %s (nothing happens)

but pcmanfm /home/username/ works.

Thank you very much for the report. The %U isn't a valid directory (file with name '%U' does not exist) and it's why pcmanfm fails to open it. It have to show an error window but it doesn't show it - it's where the real issue is.

I believe the placement of error message window is fixed in GIT recently. The fix should come into next bugfix release 1.1.1 as well. Check it when it's possible for you. Thank you.

And about clicking on PCManFM icon - that may be some problem with the program where you click the icon, because pcmanfm should get no arguments in such case and I believe you're able to start pcmanfm without parameters at all.
