Bugs item #1184360, was opened at 2005-04-16 20:44 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by hunterc You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384719&aid=1184360&group_id=25576 Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 8 Submitted By: Paul W. King (kingpaul) Assigned to: HunterCottage (hunterc) Summary: Domain Editor - No way to add SPELLLEVEL:DOMAIN entries Initial Comment: From http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCGenListFileHelp/message/8803 and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCGenListFileHelp/message/8802 I've tried the internal editors for making the domain but as far as I can tell, there is no place to define a spell list so I've been going about that by editing the custom lst file.. PCGen clears the spell list every time the lst editor is open, whether I edit the domain or not. --- Are you using the internal editors to create the domain and domain spell list? If so, you're not supposed to edit the custom files, as that has been known to cause problems. What, exactly, is the process that you have done to experience this problem? Knowing that, it'll be easier for one of the monkeys to track down and fix. --- In the course of creating a custom domain I've run in to the problem that there is no easy way of creating the domain spell list with standard spells. When the spell list is entered in the custom lst file by hand it works until I try to edit any lst file. Then it promptly removes the domain spell list. Am I going about this wrong? === Flagging for Devon to see if he wants to fix this lst editor issue for 5.8. Paul W. I broke the one of the main rules here and did not test my code completely thuroughly, which I appologize for. Now I have tested the code thuroughly and have learned quite alot about how the program functions. Because at start-up, either from fresh or re-load, the infomation from ths tag in the customDomain.lst is not loaded, even after checking that there is a correctly formed tag in the file. My understanding of the SPELLLEVEL:DOMAIN tag is that the information from the tag will be added to the levelinfo of the spells within the tag. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: HunterCottage (hunterc) Date: 2005-05-02 13:33 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1239235 Why are the custom files rewritten everytime a button is pushed???? The files are even rewritten when Cancel is pushed. I'll try and fix it so the files are only written when the Close button is pushed. Otherwise the formatting of the SPELLLEVEL tag is correct... ;) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: James Dempsey (jdempsey) Date: 2005-05-01 23:57 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=558288 When I reload a custom domain, I get an error message like "Badly formed SPELLLEVEL tag1: DOMAIN" and the spells do not appear in the editor. Sorry to do it in this manner, but I still can't assign things to myself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: HunterCottage (hunterc) Date: 2005-04-28 00:15 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1239235 In the Spell tab there is an area for adding a spell to a domain/level. Isn't this functionality enough? Or should this functionality be added to the Domain tab also? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: HunterCottage (hunterc) Date: 2005-04-28 00:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1239235 This is a duplicate tracker with 1171671 SPELLLEVEL:DOMAIN... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Devon Jones (soulcatcher) Date: 2005-04-17 16:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=107647 Leaving this as an optional bug for now ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384719&aid=1184360&group_id=25576 |
