I had to go on a quest to even find it, and the compatible runtime for it on MacOS.<br><br>The experience points were nice, but since they don't let me level up in real life, it would be nice to have the hours back I spent on digging out the current version of Java, installing an ancient one, then finding out that none of the other software I use that relies on Java will work with it, because they updated long ago.<br><br>It's not cross-platform if it doesn't work cross-platform, doesn't give a similar experience cross-platform, and you have to break your normal setup in order to use it.<br><br>A reliance on Java 8 when 8 is two _full_ versions behind current Java is kinda... I dunno.
