<div class="comment-block" style="background-color:#edf5ff;border:1px solid #dddddd;color:#000000;padding:12px;">What this patch change:
<br/>
– Add an option to create the user directory in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/pcgen (XDG_CONFIG_HOME defaulting to ~/.config) at first use of the program. It was done the same way the mac home is handled, even if I think it’s not terrible.
<br/>
– In Preferences, changed the value of the user dir value in Unix non mac systems. Once again it is done the same way as the mac specific code.
<br/>
– Fixed code that used their own construction of the user config directory, which would have probably caused problems on a Mac OS. It should be ok now, and work also for linux. It uses existing or newly created method to do so.
<br/>
<br/>
I tested it on Debian GNU/Linux by removing PCGen config directory, launching the program, and looking at the Preferences and the created directories. Didn’t test lack of write permission, but that seemed to already be handled.
<br/>
<br/>
What is not done:
<br/>
– Changes to all the non i18n strings found. Makes the patch simpler, and I don’t think I can produce patches simply if I modify one file for several issues.</div>
