The CR process in PF is for the DM to make an estimate based on the similarity of key combat parameters (typically the obvious hp/AC/BAB/dam for brutes and DC of &lt;insert evil effect here&gt; for others) to the typical table of by CR in the back of the Bestiary (better yet by cross-referencing against a similar monster). A number of people have tried to automate this in spreadsheets on the net with various quality results :-)</div>
