Category: Skills List File Missing Data Group: For 5.16.0 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 7 Private: No Submitted By: LegacyKing (amaitland) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: [Pathfinder] Max Ranks set at 0 Initial Comment: >From the OP: I created a 1 level human wizard with a 20 Int and the favored class bonus in skill point. This results in 8 skill points available. All this displays correctly. However, when I attempt to increase the rank in a skill on the right (or move a skill on the left to the right), I get an info box that says: Skill rank at maximum (0.0) for your level. Am I doing something wrong? Everything else seems to be functioning well. I've set up everything except spells and equipment. -- Confirmed by AM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Allard Hoeve (henkslaaf) Date: 2009-02-11 14:45 Message: Ha! Fiddling around in the settings seems to have fixed the problem. It seems like the default table isn't selected on PCGen load, but only after going through the settings at least once. I toggled the XP Table settings around for a bit and reset it to Medium. Then I saved and created a new character. Voila! Problem solved. I'll try to find out if PCGen remembers this setting :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Allard Hoeve (henkslaaf) Date: 2009-02-11 14:39 Message: Zaister: I see your commit on 2009-01-26, but it does not fix the problem. I built from trunk today and the problem persists. In 3.5 mode, this problem does not exist. Also, I always see the following message, now matter how many levels I add: 'Congratulations, you can advance with that much experience!' Is the right XPTABLE selected? This does not happen in 3.5 mode. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Stefan Radermacher (zaister) Date: 2009-02-10 15:18 Message: This is a problem with an old level.lst file in the game mode. The file in question is pcgen/system/gameModes/Pathfinder/level.lst. If it contains tags like CSKILLMAX:LEVEL, it is the wrong file and should be replaced with this one: http://pcgen.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/pcgen/Trunk/pcgen/system/gameModes/Pathfinder/level.lst?revision=9097 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Allard Hoeve (henkslaaf) Date: 2009-02-10 14:54 Message: http://rapidshare.com/files/196386306/Screenshot.png.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Allard Hoeve (henkslaaf) Date: 2009-02-10 14:35 Message: This happens to me too, with a PFRPG Ranger. I've tried an SVN-build 2009-02-10. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=750091&aid=2580878&group_id=25576 |
