Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: skalchemist (skalchemist) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: HTML table tag error export HTML code in character notes Initial Comment: I have been trying to use HTML table tags in the Character Notes section generates the following error: The element type "table" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</table>". and causes the rendering process to terminate. Specifically, even the following very simple text: <table> </table> in the character notes area generates the error. Tables seem to work fine in the Print Preview. It's only the export to PDF that seems to have the problem. The documention indicates (in point 15 of the "create a new character" section) that HTML tags can be used within the notes area, so I would expect the above text to work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2007-05-16 18:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1569765 Originator: NO Would this be a Doc Bug? If we believe the docs, it sounds like it would be a code bug . . . Can we get a Code Monkey to look at it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: skalchemist (skalchemist) Date: 2007-05-16 09:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1794146 Originator: YES Ah, that's fine then. The HTML export works beautifully. All I would suggest is a change to the documentation that makes this point obvious. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Martijn Verburg (karianna) Date: 2007-05-16 04:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=252169 Originator: NO HTML tags will not work with a PDF export, only the HTML export. Can you give that a go and see if that works? We'll have to add a warning to the PDF export if HTML tags are detected. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=748234&aid=1719728&group_id=25576 |
