King (kingpaul) >Assigned to: Maredudd (maredudd800) Summary: allowing datasets to cross game modes Initial Comment: There are two ways to have datasets cross game mode boundaries. 1) All datasets in one game mode to be visible in another game mode. For example, say I want to have all datasets in the Modern game mode to appear in the 35e gamemode * go into system\gameModes\35e * open miscinfo.lst * go down to ALLOWEDMODES: and add (without the quotes) "|Modern" at the end of the line * the next time you start up PCGen in the 35e game mode, you will see all datasets associated with the Modern game mode 2) Allow a specific dataset to be visible in another game mode. For example, say I want to have the RSRD dataset to appear in the Modern game mode * go into data\d20ogl\srd35 * open rsrd.pcc * go down to GAMEMODE and add (without the quotes) "|Modern" at the end of the line * the next time you start up PCGen in the Modern game mode, you will see the RSRD available as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Date: 2008-02-25 11:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1569765 Originator: NO This info is contained in the FAQ under Data Set questions.
