Category: Equipment/Weaponprof Support Group: To be fixed For 5.12 >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 7 Submitted By: Paul W. King (kingpaul) Assigned to: Eduard Martinescu (arvoreen) Summary: REACH for weapons not defined and not working correctly Initial Comment: >From http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pcgen/message/88544 You can thank my son for this bug! He is playing a sorcerer that has a longspear and is using it's reach to stand behind the fighters so I modified my 'block' output sheet to display REACH and have discovered the following bugs. 1) REACH is not defined for any weapon, it 'sorta' defaults to 5 for everything. 2) When I put REACH:10 for longspear, the output display 15. I 'fixed' 2) by putting REACH:5 for the longspear and now it displays 10. It seems that everything has REACH 5 by default and the REACH tag is additive, which is not correct according to the documentation. -- david Papa-DRB === Paul W. From the discussion on PCGD list, we decided to caculate reach based on the following formula: REACH:(RACEREACH+(max(0,EQUIPREACH-5)))*REACHMULT REACHMULT is a new equipment tag setting the multiplier, which defaults to 1 Once we can test my fix, I will mark this closed ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: James Dempsey (jdempsey) Date: 2006-08-25 16:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=558288 Hi Ed, Could you look into this one please?
