Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Jay Elmore (jelmore49) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: New tag for abilities - DC Initial Comment: Many supernatural and spell-like abilities have save DCs; there are some feats and effects that alter the DC of the effect, notably Ability Focus. Until now, there has been no way to affect the save DC of a given ability or class of abilities without specifying arbitrary variable names. It would be nice to have a dedicated DC tag for abilities (and feats, for that matter) that feats like Ability Focus or class/racial abilities that alter DCs can reference. The DC tag should be able to take formulas, since most special ability DCs are derived from a formula: 10 + (1/2 the creature's Hit Dice) + stat mod. A matching bonus tag, BONUS:DC|ABILITY, should also be created. This tag should take the name of an ability as well as a TYPE.* descriptor. It would then be possible to do something like: BONUS:DC|ABILITY|Poison|2 To raise the save DC of a creature's Poison ability by two, or: BONUS:DC|ABILITY|TYPE.Supernatural|1 to raise the save DC of all supernatural abilities by one. (This assumes that the abilities in question have "Supernatural" as a TYPE.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384722&aid=1484034&group_id=25576 |
