Category: Equipment/Weaponprof Support Group: 5.8.0 Stable Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: David Gibson (dgibson) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Cold Iron ammo costs too much Initial Comment: Taking a standard Arrow and adding the Cold Iron property to it in Create Custom Item increases the price from 0.05gp to 1.05gp, instead of to 0.10gp as it should. Similarly when working with the Arrows (20) item, the price goes from 1gp to 40gp, instead of to 2gp as it should. The entry for Cold Iron in the rsrd_equipmods_enhancing.lst looks alright, so it's not clear to me where the source of this bug is, or even whether it's a code or data bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Andrew Wilson (nuance) Date: 2005-11-11 01:10 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=41667 I think (haven't looked yet) that it's much more likely to be applying the rule that makes a 0.05 gp arrow, made from adamantine (+60 gp) cost 61gp. 60.0 + 0.05 when I went to school was 60.05 gp. Given the above, 1sp for a cold iron arrow is complete madness and makes no sense whatever. It should be 0.05 + 0.05 = 1.05 I really think someone at wizards seriously messed this up and instead of admitting that adamanine arrows should cost 60.05 gp they've introduced this fudge. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: David Gibson (dgibson) Date: 2005-11-10 22:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=30682 I'm guessing it's incorrectly rounding the quantity up to 1gp somewhere. Int instead of a Float perhaps? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eddy Anthony (eddyanthony) Date: 2005-11-10 21:05 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=886893 I've confirmed this behavior in the current Alpha release 5.9.4. I've checked the LST for errors but see nothing wrong. The price of the modifier is set in the cost tag COST:BASECOST which should simply add the original cost back to the new item doubling it. Instead it does this wierd thing, it seems to have no problem with items priced higher than 1gp. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=384719&aid=1341511&group_id=25576 |
