release, so I was wondering if you're planning another one soon? I'm not sure if I should stay with
pcb-20040903 (and figure out patches for some bugs
reported) or switch to CVS.

I think it will be a while before there is another release, but yes, there are a number of things that have been fixed in CVS since the pcb-20041228 release. I would suggest using CVS if you are going forward of pcb-20040903.
Yes, of course we can always use help. Bug fixing and testing is always much appreciated. Upload your patches to sourceForge and then post on the geda-dev user group what you added so our three admins will pick it up.
