#496 Slow opening - 3-5 seconds for a database with 500 password
I have a database with almost 500 password and 60 groups and opening the database has been slow on many different versions of Windows (and Password Safe). I'm currently using Password Safe v3.45 (db format 3.13) and Windows 10.
Typically it takes 3-5 seconds for the database to open, and I find that too long. Is this to be expected? What are other people observing?
I have a databse with 70 groups and 450 items. It opens in less than 1 second for me using v3.45.0 in windows 10.
I sure hope that this is not a problem I will experience when I get to 500 items.

It seems that I had setup a keyboard short-cut to open Password Safe (Ctrl-Alt-P). However, I had set the short cut on the Windows start menu entry, not as an "Application hotkey" inside the Password Safe options. Setting "Application hotkey" and removing the Windows application shortcut key, I get the same behaviour as you - or better. Thx!
