The current separator for the main tool bar is a line between items as shown in the attachment. This feature request is for a new 'spacer separator' that would create space but with no line between items.

In fact, the purpose of such a separator is to visually separate or group the toolbar items. What is the benefit of spaces instead of vertical lines? Personal preferences?

I agree that the current separator is to visually separate or group toolbar items. The 'spacer separator' to not to replace the current separator, but to provide a means for users to add more space between toolbar items on touch screen devices. So both could be used by some users. Thanks.

Do touch users need more space between groups of toolbar items, or more space between all toolbar items in general, or perhaps even better, larger toolbar items?

I think the toolbar items are large enough right now. Speaking for myself, I would do both more space between group of toolbar items and between toolbar items. I am currently using many consecutive number of the current spacer as a workaround, but it doesn't look great. With the 'spacer separator' added to Password Safe, the user can customize to their liking using both by adding many consecutive number of each type.

meant to say at the end 'by adding many consecutive number of spacer separator'

    Hi Rony,

Any consideration of implementing this FR?

I think the spacer image could simply be the same size as the current separator without the vertical line in it (by making the pixels for the line in the current separator image the same light gray background color of the toolbar)

Since the spacer would not be used by default, implementing the spacer would not affect anyone else but would be available for those who want to use it to customize their main toolbar.
