timeout closed database stays open but not accessible, reopen button is desired

When the database is "closed" by timeout it stays open (as in file operations, like "you cannot open this database as it's open"), but the content is closed (empty display).
The problem is that I don't see a way to quickly reopen the database. There is no "reopen" button, opening it is not possible ("already open"), so I have to click "close database", then search the filename (recent databases never have worked for me), then open it.
An icon appears usually in the system tray which offers the possibility to unlock the database. Unfortunately, the Ubuntu's are affected by a bug in the wx framework so that the system tray icon doesn't appear. To give the affected users the possibility to unlock a database the new menu item "Unlock Safe" was added under "Edit" menu. See also reported issue at GitHub.
