No doubt the interface is convenient and powerful with options such as autotype and the drag bar. But it seems that the first thing I do when I browse to a URL is to either copy the username or use the drag bar. I think it would be convenient to copy the username to the clipboard when browse to url is selected. Or make the combination a separate menu command.

There is already a feature in Options Security tab for 'Browse to URL' copies password to clipboard. I guess if you prefer Username to be copied instead, this feature could be expanded on to allow the user to decide in a mutually exclusive manner if Username or Password, should be copied to clipboard on 'Browse to URL'.

However, I think, since many websites will remember username, but not password, the current feature for copying password to clipboard on 'Browse to URL' makes more sense.

It may depend on the websites that an individual tends to frequent. It has been my habit to not choose the "Remember Me" box, because I feel (rightly or wrongly) that it provides one extra layer of security, in that, the username must also be known to access the site. In any case, it is just a request and it seemed like a relatively minor code modification.
