The default Password Safe Autotype string is \u\t\p\n and Password Safe help says about using AutoType:
There are some websites that appears that they would work with the default autotype string of \u\t\p\n, but will not because window focus is removed from the browser window when the above steps are used to Autotype.
If an application hot key is defined for Autotype, I believe this problem for some problematic websites can be avoided without having to craft custom entry specific Autotype string.
Here is an example, website illustrating the above:
https://online.citi.com/US/login.do
This website has a UserID field and a Password field separated by a Tab, so you'd expect the default autotype to work. However, the default Autotype and the above steps to use Autotype will not work properly with this site (try it). Two solutions exists:
Method 2 is the new feature request as it a few benefits: saves some steps in using Autotype, makes it easier to use Autotype (especially for those that don't mind keyboard shortcuts) and will work better and more consistently with some challenging websites while using the default Autotype string.
oops! for method 1, it should be "Change autotype string to \t\u\t\p\n,..." tab once first to get back to the User ID field.
