Hi I have used 'password safe' for many years ever since counterpane but now
have a little snag. I have two password databases one of which is mine and
another for the wife. I update from time to time and currently am using 3.29
and my personal password safe is in xxx.psafe3 format and works fine. But ny
wifes password safe is still in the older xxx.dat format. I can't remember
quite how is came about now but I got converted while the wife did not (yet!).
Can someone advise how to convert from xxx.dat to xxx.psafe3?? Did it happen
at some particular version?? Or what happened???
Regards

However while it is true that I can open/close/change the xxx.dat password
file with 3.29 it does not get converted and hence is still in xxx.dat format
afterwards.
Cheers, Roger

Should be straightforward: Just open the .dat file with 3.29. When you Save
it, it will be saved as a .psafe3 file.

Hi Rony
Decided to just try manually renaming the xxx.dat file as a xxx.psafe3 and
that seems to work fine.
So cheers, all done now
