On September 9th 2025 I logged in to Password Safe and It came up with an error and said they made a minidump I was to report in a Bug report. The report location was PWS_minidump_20250909_183926346.dmp
I verified that it was there. Now I go to grab it to send to you and It is not there.
I need back into my safe. What do I do next?
I got another error and Have the file attached. Now I do not know what a test database is. I need into my safe!
OK.
The minidump tells me that you're running a relatively old version of PasswordSafe.
Let's start by upgrading to the current version.
Download the installer from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/passwordsafe/files/Windows/3.69.0/pwsafe-3.69.0.exe/download
Run it to install PasswordSafe. No need to uninstall the old version, and it will not erease any of your passwords.
After installing try running it and tell me what happens.
Rony, the link above come up with 503 Service Unavailable error
Can I download another copy of Password Safe and start over?
Rony,
Thank you for your reply. I was excited to hear there was an option to
restore my Safe. However, when I click the link provided I received a 503
Service Unavailable error message.

Are you able to open the following folder which contains the installer for version 3.69?
https://sourceforge.net/projects/passwordsafe/files/Windows/3.69.0/
Alternatively, you can get the latest version from GitHub.
https://github.com/pwsafe/pwsafe/releases/tag/3.69.0
Do you have auto create intermediate backups before saving set in Options? If so, perhaps try opening one of backups to see if the problem is with the latest saved version of your safe?
Meme,
I do not know that. I installed this wonderful program years ago and just
used it. Where would I find it?

The backup files are located in the same directory as the password database and have the file extension ibak.
SourceForge seems to be having some problems with the download link.
You can get the latest version from https://github.com/pwsafe/pwsafe/releases/download/3.69.0/pwsafe-3.69.0.exe
or
https://dappcdn.com/download/password-managers/password-safe (Choose "Download PasswordSafe Windows EXE Installer (32 bit)" - the third from the top)
