Prior to 3.65, there was no keyboard shortcut (ALT-underscored-letter) to get to Group.

For 3.65, ALT-U was made the shortcut for Group.

Unfortunately, ALT-U was already the shortcut for User.

It is now harder to use a keyboard shortcut to get to User.

It would be better to remove the shortcut for Group or to change it to something that does not conflict with an existing shortcut.

    The shortcut for copying the username to clipboard is Ctrl-U.
    ALT-U is unassigned in the default shortcut mapping.
    The only shortcut changes in 3.65 were the addition of ALT-2 and CTRL-ALT-2, to copy and view the one-time passcode, respectively.

    Did you made some custom changes to the shortcut table?

    I apologize for not being clear in my original post.

    My issue is not with the main application screen but rather a view/edit entry screen.

    With regard to the Shorcuts tab in Options, I assume that it is the section of "Database Entry Shortcuts" that is relevant here.

    That section seems to be empty.

    When I go edit an entry, looking at the Basic tab, I see eight sections: Group, Title, Username, Password, ConfirmPassword, URL, E-mail, and Notes.

    Each has an underlined letter that indicates what letter to type (with ALT) to get directly to that section.

    With 3.65, the underlined letters (corresponding to the eight sections above) are u, t, u, p, f, r, e, and n.

    (In addition, the buttons Show and Generate have underlined letters s and g.)

    Because both Group and Username have the underscored u, there is a conflict. Typing ALT-U goes to the Group section, presumably because that is first.

    When I go back to 3.64, there is no underlined letter for Group. As a result, ALT-U goes to Username (as it always had before).

    This seems to have changed in 3.66.

    When I open an entry, the default focus is on Title. If I type ALT-U, it goes to Username.

    But I move the focus to some field other the Title or Username, ALT-U goes to Group.

    I suspect that there is some order of the fields, and typing ALT-U will go to the next one tagged somehow with "U". Since Title is just before Username, that means that the focus will go to Username if currently at Title and to Group otherwise.

    For my usage, this is OK, as I will often do ALT-U immediately after opening an entry. I can always do ALT-TU if necessary.

    It does seem unfortunate for Username and Group to share the shortcut, but every letter in Group is taken, so giving Group a letter meant disrupting something.

    Is there any chance of fixing this?

    In the View/Edit window, I used to be able to do ALT-U to get to the user field.

    Now, to do that reliably, I have to do ALT-TU.

    That is because, depending on focus, ALT-U sometimes goes to group instead of user.

    The problem is that a shortcut was added for group, most of the letters GROUP already had a shortcut:
    G = Generate
    R = URL
    O = Nothing in the app, but seems to invoke some driver
    U = User
    P = Password

    Of course, all the letters in USER are also used:
    U = Group (stolen)
    S = Show
    E = Email
    R = URL

    If group can't be given ALT-O and has to be given ALT-U, maybe give ALT-E for User and change Mail from ALT-E to ALT-M?

    Should I be filing this as a feature request instead of as a bug?

    I happened to use another PC of mine that had an older verison of pwsafe installed. I had forgotten how much easier it was to use when, with a View/Edit window open, I could just type ALT-U to select the user field!

    The app seems to give ways to customize keyboard shortcuts for the main window (and to define a shortcut to select an individual entry), but there is no way to customize keyboard shortcuts for View/Edit.

    I don't really need all the flexibility to define shortcuts for View/Edit. I would just like a single key for selecting User (just as ALT-U used to do).
