I have just switched to wayland (or attempted to) and noticed a couple of problems with pwsafe. One of them is that autotype does not work at all. I tried with "Use alternate AutyType method" both checked and unchecked in settings.
I am running wayland session of kde plasma 5.21 on Fedora 34. I have the same problem in gnome on wayland. The wayland version installed 1.19.
This problem is still present 3 years later.
I understand this is not high priority bug but I would like to hear if developers haven't forgot about it and if there are plans to fix it?
I'm not using passwordsafe at the moment, so the developers will correct me if I'm wrong but...
It is my understanding that the problem is not due to a passwordsafe bug but rather due to wayland design limitation. It applies to all other password managers (and other programs that have an ability to auto-type in a different program/window) and must be solved by developers of wayland rather than developers of individual programs.
I have not seen much progress on this issue but for now I am sticking with X11 so I have not been following very carefully.
