When launching cpm (0.17beta), if .cpmdb is 0 bytes,
the application crashes to segmentation fault.

And ive tested this on root account and ordinary user account.

cleanly or is v0.17beta your first try?

0.5b was the first version i tried and it didnt work due
build issues, submitted bug report even then (id: 1190234 ).
Been trying cpm ever since after release or two but this was
the first one i was able to actually build without any
errors during the build process.
And no, previous versions havent worked either - but they
have been due to build issues most caused by most likely
similar "bugs" then the first bug report i made as the
automake scripts (configure) didnt allow passing directories
for depending libs.
