I recently started getting notifications from PasswdSafe Sync with title "Permission requested for account email@example.com" (with my email address), one of these notifications for each account on my phone. When I click the notification, it says "Access Request The following one or more apps request permission to access your account, now and in the future. PasswdSafe Sync Google email@example.com Do you want to allow this request? Deny Allow"
I have no idea what permission this is even asking for... if new permissions are required it should be clear what is really being requested... though I'm guessing this is actually some kind of Android system thing...
PasswdSafe Sync 3.5.0
Android 8.1.0

Sorry, I guess this is a duplicate of #51: https://sourceforge.net/p/passwdsafe/bugs/51/
I note that in that ticket it seems to have been narrowed down to Google Drive permissions, which was not obvious to me. I don't use Drive with Sync at all though, only Dropbox, so ideally I would not have to grant Drive permissions.
So, you haven't even added your Google account to Sync and are receiving the notifications? That's quite strange but may help with the issue.
That's correct, I only have Dropbox set up in Sync.
However, when I opened Sync to check just now, it displayed the release notes page for the new version 3.5.0... I don't know if that means that I hadn't effectively "updated" to 3.5.0 yet. I rarely open Sync manually...
Just an update, I've reproduced the issue. The fix, though, is a bit more complex as there was a change with how the system handles account access for syncs.
