I was using jdk 1.4.2_10.
I created a new passwords file from scratch and also
tried to import data from a csv file exported with an
older version. Saving the passwords file works, but
when I try to open it again I get this:
Exception in thread "main"

I solved it using JRE 1.5.0_05 instead of 1.4.2_10...
But I am curious to know: how did you compile it?? I
mean you surely used 1.4.2 to compile, because
otherwise you would get different class versions...
Then why this error?

I had this error, too. The method Boolean.parseBoolean is
not available until java 1.5.0. That's why it works with
java 1.5 and doesn't with java 1.4 ;-)
