"about" window dialog and "preferences" have low resolution icon.
"save as" instead has no icon (but the menu entry (right-click on parcellite icon in tray) has it!)

I suspect it is a bad GTK install. The code is using GTK_STOCK_* icons. Can you verify on another Linux install?

do you mean another distro (I'am on archlinux x86_64) or another install of the same distro or simply try with another icon set ?

I mean any machine with any distro (same or different) with GTK and the same version of parcellite installed. I'm guessing you are missing some of the stock GTK icons.

You might also try to re-install GTK, and/or a different icon set.

it's definitively a parcellite issue:
I tried with different iconset and other programs which use the same icon for the about window. the result is that other program (PNMixer) shows correctly the "star" icon, instead parcellite no; even though change icon theme

So give SVN 468 a try. I don't see the problem here, but I've set GTK to "automatically' choose the icon size.

yes, the "star" icon in "about" window is now fixed.
BUT.
exactly the same problem exists with "preferences" window
AND
"save as" window has no icon at all

Good! I'm on the right track. I didn't realize this was purely cosmetic, and didn't really understand the problem. I see the missing icon now. Try SVN 469, hopefully this clears it up.

prefs and save are fixed
but I've see that if I open for the first time the about window, the icon is fixed. BUT if I close then open again the window the icon isn't fixed....

If this were a functional issue, I would pursue it further. The Icon is set every time the about (or any of them) dialog is called.
I don't know why it's not setting the same icon every time, and to be truthful, I'm not going to spend more time trying to figure out a cosmetic issue - sorry about that. I'm going to close this one and move it to a feature request.
