I have 4 jpegs, I want to generate 1 stitched tiff or jpeg. How do I do this? I've written a script using ptstitcher command line. I run the script using PTmender but instead of getting 1 output image, I get 4 tiffs. Is there another tool i need to use in conjunction with Ptmender or am I approaching this issue completely wrong. Please any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

PTmender just produces multiple TIFFs, you are expected to merge them with something like PTblender, enblend or multiblend.
(BTW this forum isn't much used, a good place to ask questions is the hugin-ptx mailing list: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/hugin-ptx )
