Roadmap

Mark Rosenblitt-Janssen Xer0Dynamite

Roadmap to [Web.∞]:

  1. Stand-alone application: A proof-of-concept to demonstrate the basic organizational power of the unified information model. Create interfaces to import existing user content (like all their email) and re-map it into the new model so people can see the concept with real data.
  2. Add p2p functionality to demonstrate the social value of information; i.e. the power of "crowdsourced" knowledge and [Reed's_Law] for interaction.
  3. Mesh Network: The eventual InternetOS to store the world's knowledge will need lots of nodes to be interesting. Create a [Free] (hardware/physical) network to assist this.
  4. Partner with someone like Etsy to demonstrate the viability of the gift and barter economy. (Note: Etsy's founder lives near Santa Fe and has interest in [Self-organizing_systems].) This will start the interconnected economic system.
  5. Internet Operating System: Experiment with Linux kernel mods (integrate Kademlia or Beehive) on some user space file system (FUSE) initially and move away from the six decades old, monolithic self-serving machines to community achitectures. Eventually the browser, the operating system and the original p2p app merge because AllDataRelatesToOtherData.
  6. Custom Hardware: Ultimately the generation of a unified information model will move away from the flat model of von Neumann architecture. Create a hardware [FPGA] prototype to demonstrate the ultimate base for the planetary nervous system. [FreedomBox] [OpenHardware]
