Project Unmaintained

I'm no longer maintaining this project. I lost interest in the project after working on LCD Smartie and obtaining over 10 real LCDs...

I have already received an email from somebody who wishes to take the project over! So hopefully you will see improvement in PalmOrb soon!

Bye,
Chris.

Beta 3 is released, Experiment C updated

Beta 3 has been released. In this release the LCD Smartie keyboard fix has been disabled by default.
The next release is likely to be v1.0 and it will be a repackage of Beta 3.

Experimental build C has been updated - it now allows the font to be selected and includes
two large fonts that allow the LCD to almost fill the screen. For more details see:
http://palmorb.sourceforge.net/experiments.html
Build C is likely to be the direction that PalmOrb will take after the v1.0 release.... read more

Feedback on alpha 4 required

It's now been 5 days since Alpha 4 was released and the only negative feedback has been about USB PalmOS devices on Windows (see previous news item). Unfortunately no positive feedback has been received. [This seems strange when we have had (over the same period) over 350 unique vistors to our home page, and over 150 downloads.]

We need positive feedback so we will know when the alpha builds are stable enough to be released as a beta (and we can start work on enlarging the LCD screen).... read more

HELP needed with USB Palms on Windows

PalmOrb is not currently usable by USB PalmOS devices connected to Windows (it works just fine on Linux).

We need somebody with a USB Palm and Windows to try out some experiments - some research has been done and it has provided some ideas but we don't own a USB palm to try them out.

More details are here: http://palmorb.sourceforge.net/w32usb.html
