#2 ghost checkboxes in Preferences menus

Don't know about Josh's latest "3.00 beta 2", but all
Robert's versions plus Josh's 3.00 beta 1 show
extraneous ghost check boxes in all but the first
preferences menu. Josh's beta 1 even shows big ghost
box outlines, some overlapping others.

This is probably due to using a too old version of pilrc to
generate the resources.
