The attached patch was needed to fix several problems with the matplotlib interface when running
python -i sampleHistogram1D.py --gui=matplotlib (the code example from the website)
The problems were:
o the interface of the plotter was lacking a terminate()
o the FontProperty interface of matplotlib deals with strings for the weight instead of integers
o on startup of the plotter IPlotter.setTitle makes a call to guiPlotter.delete giving a list of tags instead of a single tag (as done in all the other calls). As all the other plotters do not have a problem with this, I don't know whether that is a bug or a feature. So that part in the patch is only a dirty workaround.
