Hi all, Please, let me know of all problematic Kanji in the recognition - that would help me a lot. I'm starting to work through the Kanji. Adding new Kanji, but also trying to improve the existing ones. Lars now made two very important things possible (thanks!) 1. We can now define several stroke sequences for the same kanji, to account for different handwriting. 2. Lars figured out the format definition in sufficient detail for me to use it. I've already had some success in improving a few kanji that were often "miss-recognized". So, now I need your help. If you come across any kanji that are not recognized or are not returned as the first choice, please let me know. Of course at the moment there are only 600 kanji in the database. I am working systematically through my Kanji dictionary, with increasing stroke number (now at 3). I want to add all official kanji. But by telling me about any kanji that *you* come across in real life or language classes, the more frequently used kanji get included earlier. This helps to improve usability quickly. Just give me the meaning or reading or unicode or whatever enables me to identify it (I've got good dictionaries to look them up and get everything I need). Don't worry, it's a matter of a few minutes for me to include a new kanji, so I don't mind many requests. I'm also very much interested in miss-recognitions. So when you write a kanji in reasonably correct form, and it is not returned as the first choice (but in some of the other 7 panels) - tell me! I think in many cases it is possible to make the recognition better. Please let me also know the other kanji that were shown, so that I can look at the difference and narrow down the stroke definition. Thanks a lot in advance! Cheers Stephan |
