#3 Analyse other text editors for feature ideas

Focusing on ease of use balanced with power, look to other text editors such as Edit Plus 2, UltraEdit, gedit, jEdit for feature ideas.

Initially, focus should be on features that are easy to add and making existing Eclipse features more prominent.

Has some of the best features- Syntax Highlighting, code folding, Good searching capability, Outline View, File Navigator ...

Edit Plus 2 is a great editor to pick features from. Its sleek and very powerful.
Notable feature - Powerful search features, Seamless Browser window, user tools, spell checker etc.
Also, Notepad++ is a cool tool.

I had few glitches while checking Padclipse:
- the editor hanged when I opened a 500kb Perl file. may be took time to color the content
- the OutLine View took a lot of time to list all the function names. Also the function names were not properly listed in the hierarchy.

Also, can the editor be ripped more (20MB is still big) and the startup time improved?
