I had only put UserPrincipalName into the Username Attribute field. I have now also tried adding UserPrincialName in the Search Attributes list, but still the same problem.

The audit log shows:

Did you add the UPN as advance search attribute in the AD source ?

If usernames (the bit before the @ sign) exceed 20 characters, the user cannot log in, unless they truncate their username to 20 characters.

I have changed the Username Attribute in the authentication source from sAMAccountName to UserPrincipalName, but still users cannot use their full username.

I am using PacketFence 14.1.
