Hi Treker, I think the DES 3526 could be supported. Therefor, you would have to extend pf::SNMP .... basically, you'll have to make sure that every function in the pf::SNMP class works correctly for the DES 3526. You could for example use the test/connect_and_read.pl script as a template on how to instantiate a given switch and execute several functions. I'm not sure that you'll be able to do as much of the real workload (compared to the other, currently supported switches) for the DES3526 using SNMP; you might have to connect using telnet to the switch to implement several of the required functions.
