- System : debian woody, kernel 2.4.16
- cd writer : hp cd-writer 8200 series usb
- use modules (mount /dev/sr0 /cdrom): usbcore,
usb-uhci, usb-storage, sr_mod, cdrom, scsi_mod
- packet-0.0.2o-pre1
No problem to write cd with cdrecord !
crash kernel (system frozen) when :
cdrwtool -d /dev/sr0 -q
pktsetup /dev/pktcdvd0 /dev/sr0 does not work yet.
for information with the same system and kernel but non
usb cd writer, it works very nice.

cdrwtool & cd-writer hangs.
- System : debian sid, kernel 2.4.18
- cd writer : _NEC NR-7500A
- modules : sg, ide-scsi, cdrom, sr_mod, ide-mod
With NEC NR-7500 (IDE) 'cdrwtool -d /dev/sr1 -t 4 -q'
command hangs (last mesg is "Formatting track". NEC looks
idle) and can't be killed.
