It should show the number of e-mails sent by the respective user to projects e-mail archive (the ones you see from the interface at Projects/E-mails). These are e-mails sent by users in response to the new project notification e-mail.

All users have email addressess assigned and email is also being used to post comments to tasks.

I don't understand your question. Could you please be more specific?
The Email column in the people info page is empty for all users.
What should be showing there? number of emails sent by that user? ... or rather his email address?
I have both, but nothing shows.

Ive just found out ... it only counts documents sent by email to a project. I didnt have any of those until now.
