I downloaded Outport today 17FEB04.

I tried to open it in Windows XP.

Outlook is 2000 SR-1.

When I clicked on the Outport.exe file I got "Unable to
access Outlook, exiting".

I tried to have Outlook both open and closed as I tried
outport. Same message.

I moved the Outport Subdirectory from deep to root and
still same message.

Do I have to put it in the same directory as Outlook?

Where are the install directions?

All the best.

I have the same problem - Windows XP & Outlook Express 6
    (should be 2000)
I did not find any documentation or solution either.

    So far..

I think you need to start your Outlook 2000 before starting
    this program

Outlook Express and Outlook are two completely different
programs. Unfortunately, Outport can only handle the latter
and not the former. The only thing I can think of is that
Outlook's type library wasn't registered when it was
installed for some reason. I am going to try to put more
smarts in to try to detect that possibility.

I can confirm this problem with OL2003 on Win2000.
