Hi,
I tried syncing my outlook.com calendar (synced to Outlook Desktop via Exchange) to calDAV servers (owncloud-based, GMX, Google calendar), but it does not seem to sync properly.
One issue might be that several of my calendar events contain attachments.
I was trying to look for CalDav Synchronizer's "intended behaviour" with attachments, but did find only the feature request ticket #42, requesting support for a draft calDAV standard (draft-daboo-caldav-attachments-03).
The Google calendar web user interface seems to support attachment, but I did not find any info on compatible clients. Owncloud and GMX do not seem to support attachments in their web user interfaces.
So, my question is "what is supposed to happen", should CalDAV Synchronizer silently drop attachments when syncing?
Is there any setting related to this?
I am happy to assist debugging this further.
(Platform: Windows 10 Pro, Outlook 2016, CalDav, all updated to the latest version.)
Current status is, attachments are not supported and are ignored. This means that when syncing from Google to Outlook, no attachment is shown in Outlook. But it is not silently dropped in Google.
When syncing from Outlook to Google, Outlook attachments are ignored as well.
ICalendar format supports two kinds of attachments, binary or links. Outlook only supports binary attachments, and most CalDAV servers don't support binary. Google stores attachments in Google Drive, so we would need to use the Google Calendar API and Drive API to handle them and it is not possible to add attachments via CalDAV at all.
But what we plan is to support links, e.g. storing Outlook attachments as Links in Nextcloud for example.

There are a few feature requests to support sync of attachments in events.
Can you provide an update on the request and where it sits in overall development priorities? thx.
