Hello, Martin et al.
As a request could grandorgue please remember the postion and sizes of all open windows when it closes (the program). It is bit annoying to have to reopen multiple panels and position them everytime i open grandorgue; i use two touchscreens.
Thanks
Stuart
GO remembers the position, when you last time saved.
Dear Martin,
GO does not remember window positions across multiple monitors. I have used ‘save’ several time and it just stacks windows on one screen on reopening.

#79Dear Martin,
GO does not remember window position when using more than one monitor; I use two. GO stacks opened windows on one screen only. Having it remember across multiple monitors would be great.
Thanks
Stuart

GO saves and restores the virtual desktop positions.
If you eg. have two monitors with a resolution of 100x100 standing side by side, Windows creates a virtual desktop of 200x100. Windows on the left display will have a X coordinate between 0 and 99 while windows on the right screen will have a X coordinate between 100 and 199.
Lets first check, if GO is saving correctly:
Please determine currently selected resolution of your two monitors and the position of the two monitors in the virtual desktop configuration in the control panel.
Open a sampleset, position some windows and export the settings. If you open the setting file with a good texteditor (eg. Notepad++ - Wordpad or Word will also work) and look in the [...Panel...]" sections for the WindowX and WindowY positions [only for visible Panels with WindowDisplayed=Y). Based on the resolution, you can check, if the position is correctly on the first monitor or on the second monitor.
If you can't do it yourself, you can post the settings (preferable of the GO demo set) as well as the currently selected resolution of your two monitors and their position on the virtual desktop.

Dear Martin
Attached cmb file of the organ I am using.
Native window resolution is 1080 x 1920 (both mounted portait but both with the bottoms of the screen ie where they would normally rest in landscape mode, are both on the inner side... will try and show below...
Normally in ladnscape: Top
Left Right
Bottom
But on my system they are portait and flipped sooo...
Right Left
Top (2) Bottom Bottom (1) Top
Left Right
On the windows control panel. The monitors are (2) left hand one, (1) right hand one.
Thanks,
Stuart

#79Can you please retry r2330+?
Dear Martin
Many thanks for replying. I have tried several times saving the instrument but still, the windows are not stored; they always end up crammed, overlapping on one screen. I think the issue is that I have a slightly different setup for my monitors...
They are both on their ends, the left screen is rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise, the right screen is rotated 90 degrees clockwise. This is so I have it looking symmetrical and also to have the monitors speakers equidistant.
I would be very grateful for any help on this. I tried to look at the organ file but could make no sense of it. From memory I think I sent a screenshot or dump of the file for you to look at.
I haven’t checked to see if there is an update for GO, but I will look now. Many thanks
Stuart Mair
